Joey Cantrell
My name is Joey (some call me Jojo) and I just joined the Counseling Center this fall. While attending grad school at ETSU I had my internship in the same center working with a lot of the same team now and I am happy to be back among them. In between my internship and now, I worked as a children and youth therapist at Frontier Health in Johnson City. I like to use an eclectic approach when working with clients and I want to help find what works for you. When I'm not working, I'm usually spending time with my dog (or any animal that will tolerate me), playing video/board games, watching movies, or trying to talk myself into something active (or failing and having a sweet treat instead). I'm passionate about art, music, movies, anything creative and I like to bring that into my work too. I'm also a huge dork and also like to be silly when the time calls for it.
